I am writing to you because of what actions that have not been taken but have been mention to my sister. I am very upset that my sister sits in jail for something she did not do for as long as she has. My husband and I have raised Debra since our parents past when she was only 4 years old. She went to a private Catholic School and did very well as devoted wife and loving mother to her soon to be 18 year old son Tyler. She was involved in everything that child did from day one. You made a promise to my sister that she will be out for his 18Th birthday, she believes you and for the most part because my husband and I do not know you have to trust you that your promise to my sister will be just that.Ms. Sweet my sister was raped and you and the County have done nothing to protect her or any other woman that this Darrell J Burns comes in contact with. He is a Internet Sexual predator . I am so upset that this sickens me to even have had to write those words. We pray that you Ms Sweet will not let injustice where my little sister is clearly the victim. I am not very good writing letters to attorneys or any other law officials but we are sad that Debra is not home with us and when I talk to her she tells me she has been mistreated given drugs that she had never taken before beaten up, put into the suicide cell and forgotten about has to wear the same clothes for a week at a time for something she did not do. Please Ms Sweet go see her like you say because there is no way in hell that a real humane being (especially a woman) would say something like I will see you tomorrow Debra and never show up. Have you ever had anyone close to you raped before or violated in the ways my sister is going through now? We all have and I know in my 61 years of age were they treated in the manner my little sister is. You are her Attorney are you not? Kaye To Your Honor,We are grateful to have the opportunity to have our day in court. However, I need to make you aware, that my sister's lawyer, Diane Sweet disregards our defense motions, and is hostile to our suggestions. In fact the relationship between us has degenerated to the point that feel Ms. Sweet is no longer objective. Our discourse indicates that she is not willing to listen to, or deal with, our case. We respectfully inquire if it is possible to replace her with an attorney who is capable of giving this case, the attention it requires. We have fairly realistic expectations, and are willing to cooperate with a lawyer who takes this case seriously. As of last Friday Ms Sweet has told my sister that she is to have no contact with the courts or any other government officials about her case. She has told Debra she would be out by Oct. 17Th 2011 and then said she did not say that. She then tells her that after she goes to WSH she will come back plead guilty and be out by Christmas. Then on Friday my sister was waiting her turn in the court waiting area when Ms Sweet comes back with a year and a day. Ms Sweet then tells Debra that I guess it is time to work on your case.
